Wheat, Corn Export Inspections Higher Than Last Year; Soybeans Lower
Total corn export inspections are up 56% from last year. Soybean inspections are 15% lower than last year. Wheat inspections for 2025-26 are 18% higher than 2024-25.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Monday for the week ended Oct. 2. Total corn inspections were 63.0 million bushels (mb), soybean inspections totaled 28.2 mb, and wheat inspections were 18.6 mb. All inspections were for the 2025-26 marketing year.
Corn inspections totaled 63.0 mb for the week ended Oct. 2, 2025. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 264.1 mb, up 56% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports to total 2.975 billion bushels (bb) in 2025-26, up 5% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2025-26 are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is 45% higher than the previous 5-year average.
Soybean inspections totaled 28.2 mb for the week ended Oct. 2. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 111.4 mb, down 15% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports to total 1.685 bb in 2025-26, down 10% from the previous year. Soybean inspections are running behind USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is 3% higher than the previous 5-year average.
Wheat inspections totaled 18.6 mb for the week ended Oct. 2. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 374.0 mb, up 18% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports to total 900 mb in 2025-26, up 9% from the previous year. Wheat inspections are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is 16% higher than the previous 5-year average.
