A small low-pressure system is moving through the Central Plains Wednesday afternoon. Showers have briefly become isolated, but will build later this afternoon and evening. Some of these storms will again be severe. The low will move through the Midwest on Thursday with less-intense thunderstorms. Meanwhile, a system moving through western Canada will send a cold front down through the Canadian Prairies and into the Northern Plains. A sharp drop in temperature will follow behind the front.
