Chevron El Segundo Emergency Flaring Oct. 6

MIAMI, FL (DTN) — Chevron reported emergency flaring at its 269,000 bpd El Segundo refinery in Los Angeles County, California, starting Monday (10/6) at 12:00 a.m. PT, according to a notice from the South Coast Air Quality Management District. No estimated stop time has been provided.

The incident follows a separate flaring event at the same facility that occurred from September 29 through October 1 during start-up and shutdown operations, filings show.
