Corn Export Inspections Continue to Run Ahead of Previous Year
Total corn export inspections are up 106% from last year. Soybean inspections are 43% higher than last year. Wheat inspections for 2025-26 are 12% higher than 2024-25.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Monday for the week ended Sept. 11. Total corn inspections were 59.5 million bushels (mb), soybean inspections totaled 29.6 mb, and wheat inspections were 27.7 mb. All inspections were for the 2025-26 marketing year.
Corn inspections totaled 59.5 mb for the week ended Sept. 11, 2025. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 85 mb, up 106% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports to total 2.975 billion bushels (bb) in 2025-26, up 5% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2025-26 are running well ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is the highest in seven years.
Soybean inspections totaled 29.6 mb for the week ended Sept. 11. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now 39 mb, up 43% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports to total 1.685 bb in 2025-26, down 10% from the previous year. Soybean inspections are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is the third highest since 2019-20 (five years).
Wheat inspections totaled 27.7 mb for the week ended Sept. 11. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 289 mb, up 12% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports to total 900 mb in 2025-26, up 9% from the previous year. Wheat inspections are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is the second highest in five years.
