Corn, Wheat Export Commitments Continue Higher Than Last Year; Soybeans Lower
Total corn sales commitments for 2025-26 are up 98% from a year ago; soybean sales commitments are 41% lower than a year ago. Wheat export sales commitments for 2025-26 are up 21% from a year ago.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA’s Weekly Export Sales and Shipments report listed net corn sales of 48.5 million bushels (mb). Soybean net sales totaled 34.0 mb. Wheat net sales were 14.3 mb. Corn sales are for 2025-26; soybean and wheat sales are 2025-26 and 2026-27 crops, combined.
For the week ended Sept. 11, 2025, USDA reported an increase of 48.5 mb (1,231,600 mt) of corn export sales in 2025-26 and 0 mb for 2026-27. Last week’s export shipments of 61.3 mb were above the 55.3 mb needed each week to achieve USDA’s export estimate of 2.975 billion bushels (bb) in 2025-26. Corn export shipments now total 88.3 mb in 2025-26 and are up 98% from a year ago. That is ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of U.S. ending corn stocks is the highest in seven years.
For the week ended Sept. 11, USDA reported an increase of 33.9 mb (923,000 mt) of soybean export sales in 2025-26 and an increase of 0.1 mb (2,300 mt) for 2026-27. Last week’s export shipments of 30.8 mb were below the 32.1 mb needed each week to achieve USDA’s export estimate of 1.685 bb in 2025-26. Soybean export shipments now total 39.3 mb in 2025-26 and are down 41% from a year ago. That is behind USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of U.S. ending soybean stocks is the third highest in five years.
For the week ended Sept. 11, USDA reported an increase of 13.9 mb (377,500 mt) of wheat export sales for 2025-26 and an increase of 0.4 mb (10,000 mt) for 2026-27. Last week’s export shipments of 28.5 mb were above the 17.1 mb needed each week to achieve USDA’s export estimate of 900 mb in 2025-26. Wheat export commitments now total 481 mb in 2025-26 and are up 21% from a year ago. That is ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of U.S. ending wheat stocks is the third highest in five years.
