DTN Aghost Early Word Livestock

Cattle futures defied the prospect of lower cash and the continued weakness of boxed beef to close higher Thursday. Tight cattle supplies seem to remain the focus. Hog futures were mixed after rejecting the significant loss earlier Thursday. Traders did not want to press the market to the downside.
