Slowly Trending a Bit Warmer

Florida and the Carolinas will stay a little below normal today and tomorrow before a bit above normal temperatures overspread from the west.

Today’s Weather Highlights:

– A few showers and thunderstorms are possible across far southern Florida and in the Carolinas near an area of weak low pressure.

– Drier weather continues elsewhere.

– Temperatures: Near to 5 degrees below normal for Florida up into the Carolinas, with temperatures near to 5 degrees above normal further west.

Temperatures are expected to verify for most areas, with areas of Florida seeing showers and storms possibly trending slightly cooler

Tomorrow’s Weather Highlights:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Carolinas and South Florida.

– Mostly dry weather continues elsewhere, though isolated showers or storms are possible in Mississippi.

– Temperatures: Near to 3 degrees below normal for Florida up into the Carolinas, with temperatures near to 5 degrees above normal further west.

3-5 DAY EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

Thursday:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible in South Florida. More isolated showers and storms are also possible in the Carolinas and the Mississippi Valley.

– Mainly dry weather will continue for the central portions of the region.

– Temperatures: Near normal east of the Appalachians and in Florida, 3-6 degrees above normal west of the Appalachians.

Friday:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible across South Florida, the Deep South, and directly along the Atlantic Seaboard.

– Drier weather should persist for central interior areas, outside of a few stray showers.

– Temperatures: 2-6 degrees above normal for most, and near seasonal along the Atlantic Seaboard and in Florida.

Saturday:

– A few isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible across the region, but most areas will stay dry. 

– Temperatures: 2-6 degrees above normal for most, and near seasonal along the Atlantic Seaboard and in Florida.
