Calm Weather and Seasonal Temperatures

A strong high pressure will keep dry conditions and near normal temperatures in place for most.

Today’s Weather Highlights:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms possible across the Florida peninsula as well as coastal areas of the Carolinas and Georgia.

– High pressure will keep dry conditions in place across the rest of the region

– Temperatures: 2-6 degrees below normal for most, within 5 degrees of normal for the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys.

Forecast Confidence: High

Temperatures are expected to verify for most areas, outside of any areas affected directly by precipitation.

Tomorrow’s Weather Highlights:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms forecast across Florida, the Gulf Coast, and coastal areas of Georgia.

– High pressure again keeps the rest of the region dry. 

– Temperatures: 2-5 degrees below normal across the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. Up to 2-5 degrees above normal in the Mississippi Valley.

Temperatures are expected to verify for most areas, outside of any areas affected directly by precipitation.

3-5 DAY EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

Sunday:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms spreading farther north across the Deep South as high pressure starts to retreat north.

– Areas in Tennessee and North Carolina likely remain dry.

– Temperatures: Near to 5 degrees above normal with the warmest anomalies farther north.

Monday:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to intrude across the Deep South, covering large portions of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas.

– The majority of the Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys will remain dry.

– Temperatures: Near to 5 degrees above normal for most, 3-7 degrees below normal for the Deep South where precipitation is prevalent.

Tuesday:

– Showers and thunderstorms remain possible across a majority of the Deep South and Gulf Coast.

– Dry conditions likely persist across the Tennessee and Mississippi Valleys.

– Temperatures: 4-9 degrees above normal across the Tennessee and Mississippi Valleys, within 5 degrees of normal across the Deep South.
