Below Normal East, Above Normal West

Below normal temperatures will persist into the early week from Florida up into the Carolinas while temperatures begin to trend above normal west of the Appalachians.

– Temperatures: Near to 5 degrees below normal east of the Appalachians and in Florida. Near to 3 degrees above normal for the Mississippi Valley.

– There will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the Carolinas and south Florida.

– Mainly dry weather should persist elsewhere, though some isolated showers are possible in the Mississippi Valley.

– Temperatures: Near to 5 degrees below normal for Florida up into the Carolinas, with temperatures near to 5 degrees above normal further west.

– Near to 5 degrees below normal for Florida up into the Carolinas, with temperatures near to 5 degrees above normal further west.

Wednesday:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Carolinas and south Florida.

– Mostly dry weather continues elsewhere, though isolated showers or storms are possible in Mississippi.

– Temperatures: Near to 3 degrees below normal for Florida up into the Carolinas, with temperatures near to 5 degrees above normal further west.

Thursday:

– Scattered showers and thunderstorms remain possible in south Florida. More isolated showers and storms are also possible in the Carolinas and the Mississippi Valley.

– Mainly dry weather will continue for central portions of the region.

– Temperatures: Near normal east of the Appalachians and in Florida, 3-6 degrees above normal west of the Appalachians.
