Quick Burst of Cold, But Temperatures Rising This Weekend

A cold front continues to move south through the country on Friday afternoon. Any precipitation is rather limited and will continue to be as the front goes into the Gulf tonight. A brief burst of colder air is flowing in behind the front, but temperatures will quickly rise in the Plains on Saturday, and across the East on Sunday. This is in advance of a much more active weather pattern next week.
