Today was the Annual April Fest Feeder and Replacement Special. Demand for
feeder cattle was mostly good to very good, especially for several loads of
attractive quality replacement heifers. Feeder cattle were too lightly tested
to develop an accurate market trend. Feeders were mostly offered in moderate
size packages this week, with a few load lots on offer as well. Feeding cows
and bulls were too lightly tested to develop a market trend, however higher
undertones were noted. Slaughter cows and bulls were too lightly tested to
develop a market trend, however steady to lower undertones were noted. Buyer
demand overall was good to very good.
