Warm weather and above average early pasture growth in North Central WV.
Aggressive trading today at the second Special Graded Feeder sale, three weeks
since the last Feeder Special. A feeding frenzy and bullish seller's market to
fill the stocker demand as we get lower on the calendar. Feeder Steers higher
by $30 to $50 per cwt for light fives and light four weights respectively, six
weights higher by $10 per cwt. Feeder Heifers higher by $22.50 to $24.00 for
the lighter end of the run, $28.50 per cwt higher for the light sixes.
Char/cross cattle represented as Large 1; red/white face type as Medium 2.
