Most of the trades were for future delivery.
Demand was good for all classes of cattle and extremely good for Value-Added 
cattle.
Temperatures have warmed to a spring-like feel compared to the snow that 
blanketed much of the Southern Plains and Southeastern U.S.
just two weeks ago.
Rain is forecasted for much of the trading area this weekend, and if 
it materializes and grass begins to grow, this market could challenge the highs 
we saw in October.
Supply included 95 percent from the South Central Region; 3 percent South 
East and 2 percent from the West.
Current delivery is 14 days from the day of the sale and is up to and 
including February 26th.
Deliveries are current thru August 2026.
 
Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (3% Steers, 15% Dairy Steers, 11% 
Heifers, 37% Beef/Dairy Steers, 34% Beef/Dairy Heifers).
Feeder cattle over 600 lbs was 18%.
Feeder Cattle prices FOB based on net weights after a 0-3% pencil shrink 
or equivalent, with a 12-100 cent slide > 600 lbs and 20-100 cent slide
