Compared to last week, receipts increased, with the majority of feeder cattle
offerings consisting of unweaned calves. Demand was strongest for lightweight
calves, as 300-400 lb steers and heifers sold $20.00-$30.00 higher. Steers and
bulls weighing over 500 lbs traded $10.00-$15.00 lower, while heifers over 500
lbs sold $10.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter cattle traded $10.00 higher
compared to the previous week.
