Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly steady.
Buyer demand was good.
Higher than average temperatures accompanied by high winds produced 
red flag warnings and several major fires across the trading region.
A cold front moving through Northwest Kansas may bring some much needed 
relief in the form of snow Friday night.
 
Supply included:  100% Feeder Cattle (56.2% Steers, 4.5% Dairy Steers, 
39.3% Heifers).
Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 95%.
Unless otherwise noted, Feeder Cattle prices FOB based on net weights 
after a 2-3% shrink or equivalent, with an 8-12 cent slide >600 lbs.
