Front Stalling in Central Plains Thursday

A system continues to move along the Canadian border Wednesday afternoon, but with most of the precipitation north of the border. Some more isolated showers are moving through the North-Central U.S. The front to the system will move into the Central Plains this evening where a few showers and thunderstorms will develop. The front will stall there for Thursday, where showers and thunderstorms will continue. A few extra showers will fall across the Northern Plains and the southwestern Plains, where rain is sorely needed for the increasing drought.
