Warm Air Spreading Through Plains, Into Mississippi Valley Wednesday

Warm air spreading eastward through the Plains, Mississippi Valley.

Cold air is producing lake-effect snow in the Great Lakes Tuesday afternoon. The cold air is being pushed out by warm air building over the West and leaking over into the Plains. The warm air will continue eastward into the Mississippi Valley for Wednesday. On the nose of the warmer air, a small disturbance is producing a band of mostly light snow over the eastern Dakotas that will move through the Midwest for Wednesday.
